I graduated with my Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2009. I began my career in hospital pharmacy then transitioned into the growing field of specialty pharmacy. I love how specialty pharmacy continues to grow and offer more therapeutic options to our patients – many with complex, chronic conditions. In my previous role, I primarily handled medications for autoimmune conditions, multiple sclerosis, growth deficiency, seizure disorders, cystic fibrosis, oncology/hematology and several other conditions. In my current role, I primarily focus on specialty dermatology.
I am currently licensed in 7 states. I am a Certified Specialty Pharmacist. I have a certificate in Medication Therapy Management (MTM) and immunization training.
I went into pharmacy with an optimistic outlook. The pharmacy world of today is not what I entered into when I started pharmacy school in 2005. I have worked for one of the large companies that doesn’t value pharmacists. I became stressed out, burned out and realized I needed a change. This is my glow up. This is my journey into wellness and joy after leaving a toxic work environment. Sometimes we don’t realize how truly toxic something was until we are on the other side of it.
